We will cross the River of Kings on a local ferry to the old capital of Thailand. As we explore the peaceful riverside temple we will explain about the beautiful culture of Thailand and make an offering to the largest seated Buddha in Bangkok.
In the cool relaxing breeze we will slowly meander along the riverside path and stop briefly to explore the beautiful Chinese shrine.
At Santa Cruz Church, the oldest Catholic Church in Bangkok, we will enter the Kudeejeen community which is known as the Portuguese community of Bangkok.
As we explore the maze of small colourful lanes in this adorable neighbourhood we will experience a unique insight of local life in Bangkok. We will visit the first bakery to be established in Thailand where we will enjoy some traditional Portuguese snacks as we relax with a coffee or cold drink.
Back on the riverside path we will continue our journey downstream to Wat Prayoon. We will explore the temples beautiful circular courtyard and then relax in the tranquil temple grounds as we feed the hungry turtles.
As we cross back over the river we will enjoy the unfolding riverside views and the bustling daily life on the river. Walking through the beautiful scent filled flower market all your senses will be awakened as we explore the colourful market stalls that are filled with dazzling flora from across Thailand.
