Semadang Bamboo Rafting : Let’s get back to basic! Bamboo Rafting Package offers a unique and memorable experience with traditional raft along the beautiful river.

This is not your typical bamboo raft with wooden chairs for passengers to sit. On this trip, you will use the bamboo-pole to control the direction and speed of the raft the Kampung-style.

A bamboo raft is a long, clumsy aquatic vehicle and, with three to four people on board, it’s not always easy to maneuver the beast around the twists and turns of the river but it is still a great way to enjoy the lush tropical forest without having to walk through the jungles.

A guide will accompany you throughout your journey. A warm home-cooked lunch will be served at our base camp after a fun day on the river.

+ Tengadak Fish Feeding By the River : Experience the unique Tagang fish feeding session of the Tengadak fish (Tinfoil Barb) before before your rafting adventure. Tagang system is the traditional way to prohibit excessive fishing in Sarawak.

Itinerary

9:00 AM - Meet up at Hotel / Meeting Point
Pick-up from your hotel in Kuching City and proceed to the Semadang River, in Padawan area. The journey will take around 1 – 1 ½ hours and offers scenic countryside of Sarawak rainforest.

10:00 AM - Kayaking the Semadang River
Arrive at starting point for a safety briefing given by our professional river rafting guides, try on your life jackets and helmets, grab your paddle and get ready to go!

10:30 AM - Trip Highlights
Stopover at Kampung Danu ro experience hand feeding feedstuffs to wild fish and quick stopover at Sibudak Riverbank for swimming in the mini cave & body rafting. The trip down river generally takes around 2 to 2 1/2 hours to arrive at the ending point.

1:00 PM - Lunch
Arrive at the lunch spot, freshen-up and get ready for lunch, shower facilities are available on site. (Corporate or large group booking lunch requests can be arranged upon booking. Please call +6011 6309 6899 to discuss)

2:30 PM - Depart to Kuching
Depart the base camp en-route back to your hotel in Kuching, estimated time of arrival back in Kuching is 4.00pm.

FAQs

Change of clothes, towel, sunblock, insect repellent, spectacle straps, footwear with good grip

- Outdoor and sport attire (long pants, shoes, swmiming wear, cap/hats, etc)
- Flip-flop & sandal is not advisable as some part of the river is slippery especially the trek to the small waterfall

- Activities are held outdoors and are subjected to local weather conditions.
- Semadang Kayak reserves the right to re-schedule the activities if necessary.

Any health issues are to be declared in confidence prior to the rafting adventure

Full refund up to 48 hours cancellation notice in advance of the date of the tour. That is prior to 12.01am on the day before the tour date. Cancellation notice must be given by email, if no cancellation notice is given, the refund policy is then at the discretion of the reservations department.
