30 - 08:00 Pick up from your accommodation in Phuket (if applicable - additional fees may apply). Arrive at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and complete necessary registration forms.
00 - 09:00 Listen to an introductory educational talk and learn about elephant behaviour, as well as the history and cultural significance of elephants in Thailand.
00 - 12:00 Take a short break and prepare to make some new friends before meeting the elephants and their dedicated caretakers (mahouts). Learn each of the elephants' names, stories, and personalities as you interact with them in an ethical way. Join our mahouts as they prepare food for the elephants, then enjoy feeding them.
00 - 13:00 Eat a delicious lunch of traditional Thai food.
00 - 13:30 Observe the elephants as they roam and forage freely throughout their environment.
30 - 15:00 Learn about the importance of routine physical examination (P.E.) in elephant care. Assist the mahouts as they perform a physical examination to ensure the elephant's health. Following the physical examination, you can relax and continue to observe the elephants, or, if you wish, help our Mahouts clean up the elephants' environment and learn about the work required to care for elephants on a daily basis.
00 - 15:30 Spend a short time with your new friends before saying goodbye to EJS and the elephants for the day. Depart from Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and return to your place of accommodation.
