Phi Phi is a fantastic option for a Phuket scuba diving tour. It may be a long journey but the stunning marine life will ensure it’s very much worth it. Black tip reef sharks patrol the shallows and hawksbill turtles munch away at the bubble corals on the fish filled reefs.
Golden and bluefin trevally patrol the reef slopes hoping for an opportunity to grab one of the thousands of damsel fish that hover just above their coral home and small tuna circle near the surface but you may not be able to see them through the huge schools of yellow snapper.
There’s plenty of macro life hiding in the reef, tigertail seahorses, ornate ghost pipefish and even the elusive harlequin shrimp are regular finds.
After two great dives at Phi Phi, we start heading back to Phuket and stop off at Shark Point. If anything the diving is even better! Huge barracuda, pharaoh cuttlefish and if you’re lucky you may get to see a stunning leopard shark resting on the sand, all to a back drop of huge gorgonian sea fans and red and purple soft corals.
Our dive tours to Phi Phi Island & Shark Point, usually see us doing the first two dives at Phi Phi, with the final dive of the day at Shark Point or Anemone Reef. Organising the dives this way is extremely good for courses, new or returning divers as it allows you to get back in the water on shallow, easy dive sites around Phi Phi, then onto Shark Point and Anemone Reef which can be a little bit more demanding.
