2 Days 1 Night
Awesome little ride of over 2000 twists and bends on part of one of the top Motorcycle Roads in the world. Jump on one of our smaller capacity Honda CBR 300-Kawasaki Ninja 300 or option to upgrade to a Honda CBR500X Kawasaki Versys 650 or Suzuki VStrom 650 and come with us for a 2 day, 1 night blast in one of the most stunning regions in Northen Thailand.
Personally, with the multiple tight tiwsts and hairpins on this route we prefer the smaller 300cc bikes which offer a far more nimble ride on this corkscrew road. Obviously for larger riders or if you are bringing a pillion passenger then we suggest to upgrade to the larger capacity bike. On that note if you are coming with a pillion rider we offer a free upgrade to a Honda CBR500X Adventure.
This is a short loop of around 350 Kilometers over a 2 day ride and we offer two options. Choose to stay in a peaceful mountain top lodge in the forest around 1300 meters above sea level where the only nightlife will be just us and the local cows, buffalos and wild Gibbons. Here you can relax and unwind with a an afternoon beer in a tranquil location offering rustic but unique accommodation. At night head out to the garden, sit with a beer or wine and gaze at the stars and with no light pollution this lodge offers one of the best locations for star gazing.
The other option is party through the night. Instead of the quiet tranquil mountain top evening you can choose to visit the famous bustling mountain town of Pai a melting pot of holiday makers, backpackers new age hippies and we think there are still a few old school hippies still on the block all mixing with the local Thai and hill tribe people. Choose to bar hop around the town meeting fellow bikers and travellers or just stroll through the walking street browsing the homemade souvenirs and food stalls.
Regardless of the location you decide to stay the route is exactly the same. Leaving Chiang Mai we wind our way high into the mountains on tight well laid roads, through pine forests, past paddy fields and quant traditional bamboo villages, Once at the mountain top we are blessed with unbstructed views over this vast mountain range to Burma. The first day is perfect for stunning photos, Just upload them to Facebook and make you mates jealous.
Our following days return ride finds on the road known as the Mae Hong Son Loop the famous Route 1095, where we can stop at the WW11 Memorial bridge and an option to swap the Bike for an hour and meander into the forest on Elephant back (optional) but from start to finish we will be riding the most fantastic roads in the world and one of the roads that you have to try at least once in your life and this tour is a perfect introduction.
