Northeast Vietnam Exploration Tour takes you to the most stupendous region of Vietnam, the massif area of the Black H’mong of Dong Van and the Ma Pi Leng Pass. An extremely wild region of limestone peaks, black granite needles (the locals call them “stone forests”), vertiginous canyons, limitless panoramas, and the local Black H’mong. The men are remarkably elegant, dressed in black, with a beret, a souvenir of their great allies the French. Historically they are a proud race of fearless warriors.

Day 1 : Hanoi – Sapa by bus with a short trek to Cat Cat village (B/L/D)

In the early morning, you will check out the hotel and depart for Sapa. Follow the highway to Lao Cai city with two comforts.

In the afternoon, you will arrive Sapa Town with colorful traditional costumes of H’mong, Dzao, Tay ethnic People.

– Enjoy the lunch with local Vietnamese dishes, check-in procedures

After lunch, a short drive to the gate of Cat Cat village which is home of Black H’mong ethnic people and is located near the bottom of a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. Our local guide will show you the daily life activities of the locals, trek down to the valley bottom to the waterfall where the French built a Hydraulic Power Station; stop for photo with bridge and waterfall then you will walk uphill for bus to pick up to get back to Sapa in the late afternoon.

Day 2 : Sapa with a long trek Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van (B/L/-)

Have breakfast at hotel and prepare light pack for trekking

After breakfast, a short drive to Y Linh Ho then trek through the rice terraces and along Muong Hoa Stream to the

Black Hmong village of Lao Chai to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain after that heading to Ta Van village – home of Dzay ethnic people.

Trekking distance is about 9 kms and it lasts for 3.5 hours, then our bus picks you up at Ta Van Bridge to Sapa. You will be free at the rest of the day.

Day 3 : Sapa - Ha Giang by bus (B/-/-)

After breakfast, you will leave Sapa for Ha Giang, where is the final frontier in northern Vietnam, an amazing landscape of limestone pinnacles and granite outcrops.

Day 4 : Ha Giang - Quan Ba - Yen Minh - Dong Van (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we will start the drive to Dong Van. On the way, you will visit Bac sum sloping street, Quan Ba pass and Quan Ba Heaven Gate, where you’ll get your first taste of exhilarating views along with challenging, tight curves.

Cruising down from Heaven’s Gate Pass, you’ll arrive in Tam Sơn – a town surrounded by jutting, forested hills — just in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, we will visit Sung la village, which is village of white H’Mong people, the place in the movie Pao’s story, which has won the award” The Golden Kite “of the Vietnam Cinema Association. Enjoy nice view and visit traditional house of local people in there as well as visiting H’ mong King palace – Vuong Chi sinh. It is a unique place, home of the H’mong King, whose architecture is influenced by three cultures: Chinese, French and Hmong. It was also used during the French colonization as a secret storage room for opium.

Day 5 : Dong Van - Meo Vac - Yen Minh - Ha Giang (B/L/D)

If you are lucky to be travelling in Dong Van on a Sunday morning, do not miss out on the weekly market which gathers all the local ethnic minorities in the area and gives you the unique opportunity to walk through the crowd, witness the trade market of buffalos, cows or chickens, or be dazzled by the colourful booths of traditional ethnic clothes.

You will then visit Ma pi Leng pass this is one in 4 passes bigest and highest of Vietnam, a must-see destination in Ha Giang. You will stroll around the valley, cling to the side of the undulating mountains, overlooking the Nho Que river, giving unrivalled views of the valleys and terraced hemp fields, which decorate the mountainsides. Walking this path will give you feelings you have never experienced before.

After lunch, we will come back to Ha Giang city with a visit at Lung Tam village, a village of H’ Mong people.

Day 6 : Ha Giang - Hanoi (B/-/-)

After your breakfast at the hotel, the fullday journey takes you back to Hanoi.
