You’ll begin your hike on the paved road of the community. From a distance, you can see the tiny and pointed summit of Batulao. The trail is characterized by grassy rolling terrain. There are a few short, steep hills offering different angles of the summit.
The real challenge begins after the camp site near peak 7 and 8 approaching peak 9. There are ropes that you can use to assist you as the terrain is really steep and slippery.
Once at the summit, you have 360-degree view of the towns of Calaca and Nasugbu among others.
The other fun part is the trail going down the summit via the Old Trail. Here you will have to rappel down a very steep boulder. Remember that this is optional. You can still opt to go down via the New Trail.
