The first day of the Homestay Vietnam motorbike tour, we will start from Hanoi on road number 6 to Mai Chau, and idyllic valley populated by mainly White Thai ethnic people. The scenery of the arrival to Mai Chau is characterized with beautiful limestone mountains and colorful hill tribes who can be seen and visited on the way.
After lunch, we have the whole afternoon free to climb up to the top of Thung Nhuoi pass. From the top of the pass there is a beautiful view of Mai Chau valley, often engulfed by clouds but still a sight to be enjoyed.
Visiting Mai Chau, you have a chance to enjoy folk songs and traditional colorful culture of White Thai in Mai Chau.

Get breakfast in our homestay, then we get back on bike. Heading up Moc Chau plateau, we take old highway no.6. The road is a bit rough but landscape is nice and greenful. By taking back road, we will ride really deeply into remote region of Moc Chau, the land of H’mong & Thai people.
We will do a picnic lunch en route. The last distance is easy till the ferry crossing the Black river. Then follow the nice winding road along the river bank, we hit our next homestay in Phu Yen.

We find typical Vietnamese breakfast of noodle soup somewhere in town. The first distance is good for riding as we will take few passes. We then cross over to the east to Yen Bai province. There will be many stops in villages and see how the locals plant green tea. We try to make it good time, then we can take few hours to do boat ride and walking around our homestay.
Let’s party tonight with family and their friends.
