Tour’s Program

Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Mai and continue to the Huay Nam Dung National Park. We start a short trek to lunch and appreciate village life of the Karen Hilltribe in a village called Mae Jok. The afternoon trek lasts about 4 hours from here to our overnight camp in a Red Karen village at Pa Khao Lam. Most of the trails are downhill in mixed forests. We would see paddy fields which indicate the gateway to the village. We’ll stay the night here in the jungle style house as the Karens do. However, there are some facilities such as toilets and showers for this join house. Have your leisure time after dinner.
Having had breakfast, we’ll stroll in the village to see the life of the villagers. Our guides will give you instructions on how to paddle the kayak safety (we use rubber sit-on kayak). The next 3 hours will be for your soft adventurous surrounding in the beautiful forest until you arrive at our camp in Sob Kaai village where a nice lunch is served. You’d be taken to some more instructions on paddling and river safety, staying in the raft. The voyage begins from here to the awaiting 14 rapids and gorges. Difficulty grades on Mae Tang River range from 3-4 and praised by tourists as one of the best in Asia, (10 Kms.or about 2 hours) After the thrill, we arrive at Muang Keud downstream camp where you can change to your dry clothes and have some refreshments before leaving for Chiang Mai.
