Continue to the South gate of Angkor Thom: The best-preserved gate of the quadrangle defensive walls of Angkor Thom once protected the Khmer capital. Climb up and venture onto the defensive wall towards Prasat Chrung to see thrilling views of the local village: fishing and thousands of palm trees, plus our one and only yellow balloon.
Continue to the West gate of Angkor Thom: this unrestored gate allows visitors to compare pre- and post-restoration of the ruins. Bayon: a Buddhist temple best known today for its gigantic face sculptures. Stop for lunch in the Angkor Thom area for healthy & delicious local food. Return to town, with drop off at the cycling shop.
