Saraburi is a province in central Thailand, northeast of Bangkok. It’s known for its ancient Buddhist temples, including Wat Phra Phutthabat in the northwest. This temple is said to contain a footprint of Buddha, protected by a lavish shrine. On the southern bank of the Pa Sak River in the provincial capital (also called Saraburi), the Wat Siburi Rattanaram temple features a smiling golden Buddha statue.
