Samut Songkhram

Samut Songkhram is a small Thailand province on the Gulf of Thailand, southwest of Bangkok. In the namesake provincial capital, the Chang-Eng Siamese Twins Memorial commemorates Chang and Eng Bunker, famous conjoined twins. The city’s Boat Museum documents life on the Mae Klong river. In the province’s center is the Wat Amphawa Chetiyaram, a grand Buddhist temple on the site of King Rama II’s alleged birthplace.
